City became re-established as one of the Premier League’s leading sides following promotion as Division One Champions in 2002, but for many fans the story of the early 2000s was the emotional move from Maine Road to Eastlands in 2003. The move caused many to think of their relationship with the stadium and the club and emotions ran high. The first competitive game at the new stadium was a UEFA Cup tie, and since that moment fans have witnessed the full range of emotions associated with this Club.

My first city game was 26th august 2006 versing arsenal were we won 1-0, I was 13 years old,I came with my uncle dale who has had a city season ticket at main road too.I was so excited about this game, i had been waiting for it for weeks,i had only ever whatched city play on the t.v, and never realy new what the atmosphere was like, i still remember getting into my uncles car on that day and my uncle asking was i excited, i was so over excited i couldnt belive it, i was acctually going to see my heroes live for the first time, i was all ready with my home top and city tracksuit on with my drink and sweets
, before the match we went into the main road pub opposite and every were was fans,we went in there for a drink because we got there early. i just couldnt wait to go in, we was walking towards the entrance and all i could hear was the chants from the fans, the stadium was so big i could hardly belive my eyes it was huge.it didnt feel real it was so amazing. As soon as i sat in my seat it was time to welcome the players, i had been to see moonchester and had my photo taken with him, then a massive cheer from the croud came as the players entered the pitch. i loved the way the song blue moon came on at the handshake because i love that song i wish they played it now before a match.all i remember was shouting and cheering richard dunne. haf time came and i think it was 0-0 so i was nervouse about the second half but i new i could count on city to win on my first match
The thing i remember most about the game was seeing richard dunne live, he was my real hero he played awsome on that day!I couldnt belive that city had won on my first ever live game, my uncle said it was because i came and i was city’s good luck charm. i am now a season ticket holder and never miss a game, i love the blues so much YOU ARE MY HEROES!! thankyou city for my fantastic day and everyday since then you have made my saterdays and sundays worth getting up for, i hope we get to istanbul and win uefa

My first city game was against Pompey when I was 7 years old (2003). I travelled all the way up from London to see City play. It was the first Premiership match at the new stadium and I was using my brand new season ticket. I can remember looking around and seeing nothing but sky blue, and hearing all the City songs I know of-by-heart today. I cheered City on all the way though even when we were losing 1-0. Equalising in the last minute was to me like we won even though we only got a draw. From then on I was City till I die. Since then I’ve come up from Highbury (everyone at school is an Arsenal fan) for half of the home games and make as many London away games as I can.

My dad and my brother went to this game where samaras scored 2 goals and carlos tevez and javier macherano were playing for west ham. 4 hours before thegame, me , my dad and my brother were looking to watch some premier league football and chose to go to man city. From that day on we fell in love with city.
