City became re-established as one of the Premier League’s leading sides following promotion as Division One Champions in 2002, but for many fans the story of the early 2000s was the emotional move from Maine Road to Eastlands in 2003. The move caused many to think of their relationship with the stadium and the club and emotions ran high. The first competitive game at the new stadium was a UEFA Cup tie, and since that moment fans have witnessed the full range of emotions associated with this Club.

It was a bright sunny Sunday of October 2005. Stuart Pearce was our boss and City had to play a difficult game against the Hammers. My dear friend Ian Dockry invited me to the magnificent COMS for the 1st City game of my life.
I’m Italian and support our beloved squad since the 80s but I never went in England before! Cooler with Cole? Yes, because old King Andy Cole scored twice but Kiki Musampa was the man of that match. I always remember when I sang Blue Moon with Ian and all North Stand fans near us! Lovely day that day, mates!

My first match was as a 20 year old on 20-1-08, City v West Ham. After flying out from Australia to visit England, and Manchester more specifically, I had the pleasure of watching my heroes from the bouncing atmosphere of bay 117.
Unfortunately, my first City game was not one that lived long in the memory, but like the club itself, the experience was intoxicating. As a result, in two weeks I will attend both my first European match and Derby Day, so I absolutely cannot wait.

My first City match was 2006 when i traveled all the way from Sierra Leone, West Afica to come and watch City play. I set up the MCCSA out here and run a youth and senior team out here as result of my hard work the MCCSA paid for me in 2006 to visit UK and watch City played, my first match was against Fulham, it was a memorable day for me as i return back home with my mind full of great exprience and story to tell to my friends out her in Sierra Leone and as long as i live i will never forget.

I have been a city fan since 1971. Because i live in Ireland it was difficult to get to games.I followed every result down the years from the time of lee bell and summerbee to the dark times in the 3rd division. Then in 2002 i made my visit to maine road in its final season. It was 31st august versus everton.we won 3-1 with Anelka scoring 2.Unfortunately swp was sent off that day.It was one of the greatest days of my life.I have since been at the coms to see us whip villa 4-1 with Anelka getting a hat trick.

My first game was the youth cup final against Chelsea earlier this year. My Nanny took me and i had a great time – i got to meet Moonchester and Moonbeam and even had a game of football at half time with an empty can. I was so excited when Nanny told me we were going to see CITY and loved all the clapping, cheering and singing and best of all we won!! My favourite song is no longer by the Sugababes – but is Bluemoon which me and my dad sing when we watch the football at home or at COMs…….

i was brought up playing rugby although my father and grandfather were city fans. My two sons at the ages of 8 and 10 were at a school dominated by united fans and so i started to take them to games at united by joining the supporters club. I never really enjoyed the experiences and was amazed at the lack of atmosphere there, but being a dutiful dad i did my bit. A close friend of mine who is a city fan told me that i should be carrying on family tradition and supporting city. I went to the game against Newcastle when Keegan was manager. It was the last game of the season and had we lost we would have been relegated. From the minute i entered the ground i knew that this was my club, the atmosphere and passion from the fans was an experience i had never witnessed before. We won the match. It took me the summer holidays to persuade my sons to turn to city. Four seasons on we have three season tickets and never miss a home game. Both sons proud to wear a city shirt when football training. May the family tradition continue through the generations!!

I was nervous about my first game, didn’t know what to expect. When i got there and saw the teams warming up i was speechless. I just watched in awe at the quality of the players, and this was just the warm up, I was near the top in White Hart Lane. I could see all. Unfortunately the game finished 2-1 to spurs. defoe scored a fluke and Claudio Reyna scored a screamer. despite the bad result i felt like we won, and that it was the beggining of a rollercoaster ride as a city fan.

My first game at the COMS was in a sunny Sunday of October 2005. I’m an Italian Citizen from the 80s when I watched the Blues playing in San Siro against AC Milan. But I never, never went in Manchester since I knew on spring of 2005 in Milan Ian Dockry, the biggest City friend of mine. He invites me to the Hammers game at the magnificent COMS. My dream to watch a City game at the Eastlands finally became true! I always remember that glorious day when dear old Andy Cole scored twice. Me and Ian were both at the North Stand. I never forget when I sang for the first time in my life Blue Moon! Cooler with Cole, and with Dunne, Musampa and Vassell too!
