City became re-established as one of the Premier League’s leading sides following promotion as Division One Champions in 2002, but for many fans the story of the early 2000s was the emotional move from Maine Road to Eastlands in 2003. The move caused many to think of their relationship with the stadium and the club and emotions ran high. The first competitive game at the new stadium was a UEFA Cup tie, and since that moment fans have witnessed the full range of emotions associated with this Club.

O a great say it was. My 1st ever game to watch my beloved blues for the first time. Ever since that day on i was a blue.
The stands were swarmed with blue flags and scarfs waving around in the air. The noise, the atmosphere it was electric. The game was great i think it ended in a 3-1 win but i do remember one thing and it will stay with me until i die…
When Physco missed his chance to score his 100th club goal with a 90 minute penalty. The Pompey keeper even whispered in his ear that he wasn’t going to move and that he was happy to let him goal his final career goal against him.
He still managed to sky it over the bar. That about sums up Manchester City in one really. Haha, but i wouldn’t change it for the world.

Me and my dad went to The City Of Manchester Stadium on A cold winter Thursday,With a 7.45 kick off. I was 13 and really excited. As soon as i caught sight of the stadium and crowd i realized how amazing the Stadium was. However we lost 1-0 by a Frank Lampard penalty. However it was still a great day that i wont ever forget.

Then the players walked out of the dug out everyone was cheering i joined in straight away i knew i belonged at eastlands it just felt so right! That day we won 7-1 we were immense like always! From that day on i love it the best atmosphere ever
Manchester city is my religion and eastlands is my church!!

My very first game was against crewe and i remember going through the turnstile and walking up the stairs into the Jean Kelly Stand as we used to call it because when it started raining we used to stand up and sing with our temporary plastic raincoats on. I must have been about 5 or 6 at the time. City were 3-0 up at half time and in the end we won it 4-1 i think …! I loved the atmosphere and after the match we always used to go for a curry in Rusholme. From that day on i was CTID!

Well, my first game at city, was pretty special. I flew over from the other side of the world just to see them play. I’m and Australian, and i flew over to see Manchester City vs Stoke City (26/10/2008).
I was confident of the win, and we did win, 3 – 0. But to see Robinho’s first hat trick was well worth the trip. 23 Hours to see that, i’d do that any day.

My first game was City at home to Fulham on January 29th 2003! We beat them 4-1!
I was 10. Me and my Dad were sat in the Kippax. I just remember looking around in amazement at the crowd and listening to the noise it made! I was in awe!
From that day on, i knew there would be no other club for, than Manchester City.

Wow, i had never experienced anything like this. My first game was our last at Maine Road, tears were flowing from all fans. What a memorable day, pity about the result.
