I was five years old and sat on my dad’s knee in the Platt Lane – 1967. Can’t remember who we were playing but I was well chuffed with the brand new wooden rattle my dad had bought me. I was ‘rattling’ away but lost a bit of direction and whacked the bloke sat in front of us at full pelt right on his bald head! He didn’t see the funny side of it but stll makes me and my dad laugh today 42 years on. Cheers Dad – always Blue!

Being a Yank, soccer has been an interesting distraction every 4 years when the USA qualifies through CONCACAF and then plays in the World Cup. This all changed when my son began playing 4 years ago. What a wonderful, year-round family activity for us. As our progression into the sport continued, our good friends from Stockport piqued our interest in both the EPL and their team – MAN CITY.
This fall my son turned ten years old. It just so happened I had a weekend off, frequent flier miles I was about to lose, and a crazed idea to fly to Manchester for a game. It just so happened to be a glorious weekend of weather and an unbelievable drubbing of Pompey. Our entire experience (the tour before the game, the kind staff of MCFC, the bobbies, etc…) was unbelievable and too much for words here.
Tennessee is a long way from Eastlands, but our support continues as we plan our next trip across the pond.

I was born and bred a little City fan!
Being a daddies girl I was brought up on shouts and screams at the TV when City matches where on, and gettin sat down with my shirt and shorts on all excited to watch the blues on tv. So when i got told i had a ticket of my own to go to Maine Road I was ecstatic!!
I remember goin hand in hand with my dad and parking near Platt Lane. Walking to the ground looking at everyone else all hyped up and excited for the match, I was only 9! I’m 23 now and remember it so clearly. Walking through all the little back entries and then finally arriving at Maine Road!!
It was HUGE to a little 9 year old like me and there were blue shirts everywhere! I remember not being able to watch the match properly cuz i was looking round at all the people and just loving it!
I remember the Everton fans chanting “Goin’ Down Goin Down!!” and then in my own attempt at a scouse accent sayin it back to my dad and askin why they where being so nasty! Still laugh at that now. That when the City passion grew and grew inside me and everyone used to ask me at school why i was a red or a liverpool fan, and i was loud and proud to be a blue!! I carried on going to games ever since
all thanks to my dad, the best dad ever!

I am 4 1/2 and went to my first game with my Daddy. It was January 2009 against Wigan. I was so excited on the way to the match and saw other boys and girls with their Daddy’s going too. We sat really high up and could see cars on the road. We had some food and drink at half time and I shouted and shouted, then we scored the noise was amazing! We won the game 1-0 and then my Daddy took me to the shop. He bought me 2 new t-shirts and a teddy bear which I named “Blue”. I put my t-shirt straight on and ask Daddy if I could come again!

My first game was against Wigan on January 17th 2009. A long time follower from Australia, I finally got the chance to see the blues live when I had the chance to come and study at University in Lancaster. From the unbelievable stadium to the great noise from the crowd, and a match full of tension galore, after a glorious Zabaleta strike and a moment of absolute madness from our captain!
I was already a blue through and through, but now I can truly say that I am City till I die!! It will be the first of many, many glorious days watching city no doubt!
