My first City game was Blackburn away September 2007. I remember walking from the car park with my dad and his friends, we could hear all the City fans singing before we got near the ground. We passed a pub and the car park had a big tent on it full of City fans all singing. We got in the ground and stood behind the net, the noise from the City fans was very noisy and fantastic all the way through the game. Unfortunately we lost the game 1-0 but that didn’t matter I am now hooked for life. I am now a season ticket holder in South Stand with my dad and we have been to every home match since and a few away games as well. I now cant wait for every match day and love every minute of it.

The Marriage
I had been with my then girlfriend for sometime and I was always trying to convince her to come to Maine road and watch the blues, when at last she agreed so I booked our tickets in the Plat Lane stand to see City take on Huddersfield on 7th November 1987.
What a game we scored 10 goals and in between the kissing we saw three hatricks from Paul Stewart, Tony Adcock & David White. Since our first game together we are now married and have three wonderful blues to add to the ranks of the blue mooners!

Dear M.C.F.C.(especially keith curle)
On saturday 14th of Febuary I was standing at the supermarket checkout in Slough. I was trying to persuade my grandad to by me a football I had found where the baskets are stored. He was being reluctant.A man at the checkout next to me was watching. My grandad noticed him whispering to himself “go on buy it buy it for him.”
My grandad was still a bit slow because he was already packing the shopping. Then, the man looked at me and said”throw it to me”which i did.Next thing i knew the man gave me the ball and the receipt, pointed to my man city shirt, and said”my brother is keith curle and he used to be captain of man city.”He then said “all you need to do now is get into the team”I cant believe how lucky i was

Me and my brother Jenson (age 5) went to see City v Middlesborough. Dad said it would be great, Robinho might score, the crowd would be singing but I was looking forward to the hot dogs and pies. We got to the ground and had our food which was great. City won and all I could think about as we came out was not the pies but the taste of victory (dad helped me with this bit). Bailey (age 7).

The family tradition rolls on. Wednesday 18th May 1966- Division 2 last home game of the season Southampton at Home result 0-0. My first game – I was aged 12! Do I remember it- not much: –
a)I went with my Father
b)We sat in the Platt Lane
So why did I start to go to Maine Road, week in week out after that?
It is in the blood – at the time of going to that first game my father took great delight in pointing out the seat he used to call his own in the Directors box and that our Uncle Wilf was the only Manager of City to win the First Division Championship – back in 1937- No other Manager had achieved it since.
I was proud of what a member of my family had achieved- I wanted to watch City again next season and I did, watching Joe Mercer eventually emulate Uncle Wilfs achievement and then surpass it with all the other trophies that followed over the next few seasons.
Taking my son/daughter to their first games – now I remember those more. What did I do – I pointed out where I sat with my father for my first game – I pointed out where their Granddad used to sit in the Directors box when he was a boy and told them about Great Uncle Wilf. They were proud – they wanted to watch City again the following week and the next season – and we all still do. My daughter has married a City Season ticket holder – Anything else would be unthinkable. The family tradition rolls on.

Hi my name is Paul.My first city game came against middlesborough on Febuary 7th 2009. I’m Flew over Fiday from Limerick in Ireland with my father. We met my uncle in Manchester and then went to the game. It was freezing watching the game but the experience was absolutely unreal.I had front row seats on the halfway line and i felt like i was part of the game. When Craig Bellamy scored the buzz in the stadium was electric. We won 1-0 and Shay Given got man of the match on his debut.I am very grateful my father for that weekend, I will never forget it. Now and always a TRUE BLUE!!!!

I was 5 when my Dad took me to Maine Road for the first time (The ‘ballet on ice’ against Spurs in 1967).
The everlasting memories from that game was the magnitude of the ground, the incredible noise, the crowd and how easy it was to blister your mouth on a cup of Bovril!

The 14th of March 2004 will remain with me until my dying day. Not only was it the first time I saw the mighty blues play, but we trounced United to boot! I’ll never forget SWP’s robot dance when he scored. My Dad was crying at full time! He told me I was lucky to have been to such a massive match as my first game and he was right. We’ll win the UEFA this season!
