My first game was in 2004 against Manchester United. The atmosphere gave me shivers down my back. There were blue scarfs and flags everywhere as the fans sang away to “Blue Moon”. That moment will last with my all my life and the result that day was even better. 4-1 was incredible. The buzz and the noise that you could hear on the blue half of Manchester was one you definately will not forget. City till i die.

my first city game was man city vs charlton in 2004. it was amazing to see the massive CoMS i was in awe. i had just turned 12 and to see us win 4-0 was just amazing, Anelka got 2 with SWP and sinclair getting the others. my dad had told me i could support any team i wanted as long as it wasnt united. then i saw city vs ipswitch in the FA cup on the telly and i have been a hardcore fan ever since.

My first Man City match was Man City v Charlton. We were at Charlton’s home stadium and I though Man City were playing good. I think we were winning at half-time but unfortunately we were sitting in the Charlton end. My dad started to chat about how we were outplaying Charlton and somebody must of overheard because we were soon kicked out of the stadium. The only good news was that we won 4-3!!!

This wasnt my first city game i watched but it was one of the most memorable, for one reason to fight from relelgation. It was against Newcastle and we had to win. All i remember from that game was how good our fans were. We won 1-0 and it was a tense game. The goal was made from a great cross by Nicolas Anelka, and Paulo Wanchope found the cross and headed in the back of the net. The croud were so good this game, fully behind the team. I remember the whistles the fans were making from around the ground towards the end of the game, deafening, it was so tense and when the full time whistle came, the feeling felt so great. On the way down the spiral walkway all me and my dad could here was ‘blue moon’ and ‘The best team in the land. The fan support was so good this day,as always. Through this win we put wolves down, and the blues stayed up.

i was brought up playing rugby although my father and grandfather were city fans. My two sons at the ages of 8 and 10 were at a school dominated by united fans and so i started to take them to games at united by joining the supporters club. I never really enjoyed the experiences and was amazed at the lack of atmosphere there, but being a dutiful dad i did my bit. A close friend of mine who is a city fan told me that i should be carrying on family tradition and supporting city. I went to the game against Newcastle when Keegan was manager. It was the last game of the season and had we lost we would have been relegated. From the minute i entered the ground i knew that this was my club, the atmosphere and passion from the fans was an experience i had never witnessed before. We won the match. It took me the summer holidays to persuade my sons to turn to city. Four seasons on we have three season tickets and never miss a home game. Both sons proud to wear a city shirt when football training. May the family tradition continue through the generations!!

My 1st game, I went through 14 years of my life not going to Maine Road but coming to Eastlands made me feel part of the blue family, the atmosphere was extreme, I was sat in the south stand where Kanoute scored the winner for spurs which was the only part of the day which was bad. Everything else, watching the blues, seeing my and me cousin on match of the day with moonchester and moonbeam. Since then I’ve been going to games as a regular!
