My First City game was a birthday present from my older brother (Nathan. Because my birthday is in July, we watched a pre-season friendly against Stoke City, i loved every minute of it, we battered them the wholeway through it + in the first half we were sat behind the goal Stoke were shooting in but they didn’t score
In the second half we were behind the goal Man City were shooting in (obviously) + we scored 2 goals, i remember one was scored by Darius Vassel but i can’t remember who scored the second, but that’s because i wasn’t very interested in football then so i didn’t know all the players, but now i LOVE to watch man city even when they lose because they put in soo much effort! My all time favourite players are Shaun Wright-Phillips + Micah Richards, now i do have more (like Robinho, Ireland + Joe Hart) but i’ve loved these players the most over the years of watching man city play!!

My first City game was against Tottenham Hotspur at the City of Manchester Stadium with my Dad. It was an evening kick-off and therefore the thing that I remember the most was my first ever sight of the CoMS lit up, and looking up to see the blue lights of the stanchions, on the black night sky background. We lost the game but that did not matter, because I got the chance to see all of my heroes live, wearing the sky blue shirt, at the best stadium in the world. One of the greatest things was the atmosphere during the game, and standing up to sing “BLUE MOON”, to encourage the Blues. When we left the stadium, I must have been the only City fan smiling, because it was the best night of my life.

My First City game was on 15 May 2004 vs Everton. It wasn’t the most glamourous tie on paper as winner got 16th place, but to me being able to see my team in person, it felt like a cup final. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. As a got to my seat and looked out at the pitch at the new COMS, I felt like a little kid. City went on to thrash Everton that day 5-1 behind 2 goals from Wonchope, and one each from Anelka, Sibierki and SWP who rounded out the greatest day with and absolute flier!

I married a Mancunian / City fan and I think it was on my second visit to Manchester that I went to my first game at City of Manchester Stadium. City beat Barnsley FC 7-0.
After watching sooo many games on the telly over here and watching sooo many losses it felt like they played that game just for me.
The scoreboard went on the frizt during that game and the joke was that it never had to go that high before.
I love Man City and I love Manchester!

I can’t remember much about my first City game except it was at Prenton Park, Tranmere. City won seven one and I think Marc Vivien Foe got a hat trick. Before the game there was Eric Nixons testimonial. Watching Kevin Keegan, who at the time was City boss was a bit strange. Ever since I have been a City fan and I go about three times a season. I would like to go more but I live in Devon and lead a busy lifestyle.
Up the City
