I was 9 years old me and my dad were staying at his uncles. We work early and ate a full english breakfast then we made our way down to the ground my dad went a diffrent way so he could walk from the house were he lived as a kid one last time. Me and my cousin were at the front of the crowd surrounding the entrance to the ground. Shaun Goater came round for photos and he signed my flag then Robbie fowler jumped thourgh the crowed. Whenthe game began it wasn’t the greatest game ever but I knew it meant so much more when the full time whistle went we had lost one nill but it didn’t matter this was a goodbye party and I know that I will never forget the one game I saw at Mainr Road

My first memory of a special city game was when i was 7, although i was going when i was unborn (with my mum)This day was special because we sayed goodbye to Maine Road. I was a junior blue sat on the front row of the kipppax near the away fans waving my moonchester teddy around waiting to shake his hand at half time. my mum Tracey was being her usual self screamimg when we scored etc. After the game me,my uncles mark and chris and my dad michael all had a game of football outside the kippax entrance. i will never forget Maine road. also my mum and my teddy (and hand) are on page 261. in the Kevin Cummins book were not really here/city final season at main road(page pictured below),
thank you,

My first city game was against Pompey when I was 7 years old (2003). I travelled all the way up from London to see City play. It was the first Premiership match at the new stadium and I was using my brand new season ticket. I can remember looking around and seeing nothing but sky blue, and hearing all the City songs I know of-by-heart today. I cheered City on all the way though even when we were losing 1-0. Equalising in the last minute was to me like we won even though we only got a draw. From then on I was City till I die. Since then I’ve come up from Highbury (everyone at school is an Arsenal fan) for half of the home games and make as many London away games as I can.

My Girlfriend bought us tickets for my birthday. It was also my first visit to the Millennium Stadium. TNS started to sing in their little block, at which point the half of the lower tier filled with City fans bellowed out to Blue Moon! The sound was immense and I will never forget it.

Thank you to my girlfriend and also for city for making it such a great day!

Unbeknown to me, at the time, my first game was an accurate representation of the rollercoaster life that is City. Losing 1-0 to the opposing side, taught me not only about the inconsistency of football, but also the definite loyality of the City fans. Watching my first game, I realised my love and passion for the team; and since that day, City have always had the support of me and my Dad. It’s obvious. It’s ‘City till I die.’

I am 51 yrs old from originally Worcestershire now living in Aylesbury. I have been a City fan from the age of 9. I have been to several matches in the past but dont have many chances to see the City. i have been with my 2nd wife for the past 16yrs but only married her in March 2003. She is a Baggie fan and for a treat i took her to a one of the last matches at Maine road where she sat and watched the match US v WBA from the make shift stand made from scaffolding, I remember it being a freezeing cold day, the wife was happy cause her team won.

Now for the spooky thing but true. We visited some friends last week 17/18th January 2009 back up in the midlands we had’nt seen them for 13 months and stayed over. On the Sunday 18th we went to Bescot Market which is held at Walsall F C football ground. Whilst walking round the stalls donning my new Man City coat one marketeer said to me Arh a Man City supporter I;ve got just the thing for you, thinking it might be a cheap City shirt he pull out a box with MCFC motif on, inside was a sheet off paper with ex city players signatures on a photo of Maine Road ground and a book full of photos from the final season 2002/2003 played at Maine road, he told me that the selling price for this was originally £120.00 he had been selling them for £40.00, he let me have it for a fiver. I bought it. On the way back I was flicking through the book and noticed on one of the photos God and behold was My wife and me sat in the make shift stand.

It was if that book was destin to come to me.

CITY TILL I DIE.
