beating united 3-1 in the final of the F.A youth cup in 1986 was the first game i can remember going to. i was only 5 years old and i thought it was both of the first teams playing which made it even better.

One of my first games was the unforgettable 5-1 win against Man U. I was in the Kippax with my uncle and boyfriend, both lifelong blues. I remember after City scoring the third goal my uncle’s glasses were knocked off in the excitement. You wouldnt give them a chance would you but they were still intact on the floor!! God was smiling on us that day! We then scored the fourth and I remember all fans still panicking even though we had such a good lead. From this game, I caught the bug and am now a true blue for life. Cmon City!!

My first match was against Arsenal wen they wore that horible yellow and black kit. I’d come over from Australia on holiday i was 8 and it was the time of the bannana army. City won 2-0 and the rest is history i’m now living back in England and goto as many games as possible. My Mum and Dad are both City fans and named me after the loegend Peter Barnes.

My first trip to Maine Road was to watch MCFC v Tottenham with my husband Matt (we won 2-1). I was totally dumstruck with the atmosphere and massive crowd on the day. We stood in the Kippax where Matt always took his place and back in those days there wasn’t many females in that section so I was totally outnumbered but everyone around was really friendly & respectful. Matt gave in to my nagging to attend a game even though I was 6 months pregnant! That was it I was hooked! It was a brilliant game and what made it extra special was that my brother, uncle, cousin and grandad were all there in the ground cheering on the Blues also. Our first son Liam (who we joke attended his 1st city game even before he was born!) also holds a season ticket like us together with his younger brother Conor. Maine Road was a very special place but we are enjoying our time at Eastlands too. “We love you CITY we do”

I REMEMBER GOING TO THE GAME WITH MY BROTHER, GETTING ON THE SOUTHERN CEMENTRY BUS AT PICCADILLY GARDENS. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT MAINE ROAD WE WOULD GO INTO THE CITY CHIPPY BEFORE WALKING ROUND TO THE KIPPAX STAND, WE WOULD WALK UP THE STAIRS AT THE CORNER OF THE KIPPAX TO SEE AN AMAZING SIGHT- THE MAINE STAND! WE WOULD THEN GO AND STAND RIGHT ON THE HALF WAY LINE AT ONE OF THE GREEN GATES. AT HALF TIME WE WOULD GET A DRINK FROM THE SELLERS WHO WOULD WALK AROUND THE GROUND. THE ACTUAL GAME FLEW BY. ALTHOUGH WE LOST THE GAME 2-1, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE VERY QUICKLY AND I WAS ALWAYS ASKING MY BROTHER WHEN I COULD GO AGAIN.

Going into the Kippax stand at an early age with my brother was something special,we would always stand in the same spot at a gate right on the half way line. At half time we would always get a drink from the trolley sellers that would go around the ground, even though we lost the game 2-1 the roar from the KIPPAX when we scored was ELECTRIFYING !!

i had decided i supported city by liking the shirt! i was only 6.
So my Dad , himself a city fan, decided to take to a game. i cried on the way to the ground as i thought he was taking me to old trafford. i can remember walking up the stairs of the maine stand and seeing the whole of manchester behind the kippax. Its a sight my dad says he will never forget.We won 3-1 , but that didnt matter. I loved city before the game had kicked off

i remember bein at wembley in the full members cup what a game 1 nil up 5 1 down then up steped mark lillis 5 4 with about 1min left we lost 5 4 to chealsea,most city fans left but when we made it 5 2 they were coming back in.if we had a couple of more mins we would av won 6 5

My first real memory of City is my dad placing me on the wall of the Kippax with a pie and a cup of bovril. We played Liverpool and it was freezing. It had been snowing and Bruce Grobblar had been taking a lot of stick from the Kippax. Liverpool scored and he threw a snowball at us, as many had made there way onto the pitch. We were beaten that day, but the atmosphere and humour of the fans sucked me in.
