I first watched the game manchester city club is now 4-1 win over Blackburn at Ewood Park to ensure the promotion places to the premier division, I think that in 2000

My first match was on 12th October 1968 against Spurs. I missed out on the ‘ballet on ice’ the previous year and was inducted as a blue watching a 4-0 romp in the Moss Side rain. Frannie Lee got two, with one each for Tony Coleman and Dave Connor. I was seven years old and walked to the game with my dad and 14-year old brother. We stood on the Kippax and my dad made sure I got a place on the wall next to the pitch with the other young lads. I can’t remember too much detail about the game as I was completely in awe of Maine Road, the roar of the crowd and the sense of occasion. I was smitten and so began a love affair that’s lasted more than 40-years. City ’til I die!

A 2-2 with Chelsea is the first scoreline I remember. It was 1994, and I remembered it for two reasons; one was it was the Kippax’ Last Stand, and the second was I was sat in the Platt Lane End wishing I could have been with the adults in that stand.

I was only 5 the first time I went to a home city match.
I know its very young to remember but Ill never forget it! My Dad and uncle Tez came home Saterday afternoon, they had been working that morning. They told me they were taking me to Maine Road. Well to say I was excited would be putting it mildly!! It was then that my Mother told me I must have something to eat then we could go.
As I dashed into the fridge I just seemed to grab the first thing that was available which was a opened can of pineapple. The metal lid was sticking up and as I grabed the can I sliced my finger. There was blood everywhere and my mother saying “God we will have to go to the hospital”! Thats when I started to cry and roll around in pain!! To stop my screaming and crying my mum agreed to bandage up my finger and let me go to the match! We palyed Liverpool and got beat! 4-0 I think.
But it was a great day.

I was 14 at the time and my friend asked me if i wanted to go to the match. I said yes. Little did i know it was Man City v United. It was my first match and the atmosphere was unreal. I can remember being stood in the Kippax when City scored(Clive Wilson), it felt like my feet didn’nt touch the floor for ten minutes. My friend who was a bit bigger than me, could see me struggling to see.He swapped places just as wayward ball hit him in the face.
I’ve been a City fan ever since. My son and I are now season ticket holders.

My first Game.
I am 40+ yrs and have supported city for over 30 yrs.
I was so excited when my wife gave me tickets to see my very first city game (30yrs to late).
The game was close for the first 10 min with the away team the better. City took hold and I was on the edge of my seat.
The game had everything 40+ yard Celebrations!!, goles and most of all a well deserved victory. What a first game

The day when luke chadwick and francis jeffers signed for manchester city is a day i’ll remember for the rest of my life, jeffers performance against the kaizer cheifs will no doubt stay in my memory until i die, chadwicks penalty in the 91st minute of the intertoto cup against anorthosis famagusta no doubt equals the feat of the pre-mentioned JEFFERS.

dad took me to maine road the year it closed for a night game against Crewe. We emerged out of the kippax to see the pitch that looked like a carpet, the game kicked off and there was an immediate goal, I cheered, it was crewe….welcome to being a city fan
