Will never forget Wed Feb 3 1988, I was 10 and my Grandad and dad took me and my brother to see us in the FA cup, the atmosphere had me hooked from the off. Sitting opposite the Kippax I couldn’t believe people stood for the whole 90 mins! That’s the day Paul Lake became my first City hero:)

My first man city game was one of the most historic games in city’s history not only did it deliver a great game but 100 goals for the ‘GOAT’ and a cracker from anelka when goater chipped the ball over the bald frenchman a mixture of emotions bursting through my one which is impossible to replace thats why win lose or draw i’m hooked to MAN CITY and that great thrill will never disappear. jake loftus age 14

My first Man City memory dates back to Boxing Day 1977, my first City game and the return from injury of Colin Bell. I walked accross Platt Fields park with my dad with the four towering floodlights firmly in view and getting ever nearer. After negotiating a few alleyways we arrived at Maine road, I was seven years old and the place seemed immense and so exciting with so many people around. Nothing could prepare me though for the noise when the folk hero Bell was brought on as a substitute to a standing ovation. I was in the Pltt Lane stand, I couldn’t see a thing when he came on but the roar from the cowd was nerve tingling and we went onto win 4-0. It was a day I’ll never forget and, I thank my late farther for one of the best farther and son experiences ever. That day my blood turned sky blue. What more can I say but thank you City!

City v Tranmere 1999, it was in the old division 1 were i was only 3 years old. I remember city won but sadly i have forgot the score. All in all it was the greatest day of my young life. The best moment was when city scored the last goal and everyone was singing blue moon.

We got my son James for his 12th Birthday a ticket to see his first City match against Blackburn, My husband & brother travelled up to Eastlands and they were in the Commonwealth suite, as we pulled up to the ground he was in awe as he only saw the ground on tv & google. The three of them went in the shop and bought some bits and a collar for our dog! they had something to eat and went to their seats it was a glorius sunny day and the teams came out to warm up, James has a city scarf that is half Brazillian and waved it vigorously at Robinho who cooly waives back,At half time James name went across the score board. the match was spectacular loads of action & crucially City WON, As they left the car park James fell asleep – What a day to remember

I remember being six years old, my sister was going on a school outing to watch City at Maine Road. I went with her and my dad dropping her off at School, I hate to admit this but at that time I was a United fan, not through choice (through a forceful grandad) the mini bus about to leave a place on the trip becomes available, my dad a massive blue had a great idea I would go and see a real game of football. So I went, dreading it some what! It was a cold October im sat in a starnge place with people singing and shouting, wow it was loud! The game hadnt even kicked off! My sister could see i was slighlty intimidated. Next minute i Know I am at the front of the platt lane stand getting Andy Dibbles autograph! The match starts and the cold sets and city just keep scoring I didnt know what to do! By the time the second half arrives I am well into the game and feeling happy, This team can play and the fans are amazing im thinking dad why arent i a city fan! On the fourth and last goal i actually had goose pimples on my arms. I had never been to a game of football before and had not known what to expect. This must have been a sign I wasnt even booked on this trip but here i am and have thoroughly enjoyed it! From then on my head and heart were City. I asked my dad to swap teams. He said dont do it son you will be in for a life time of misery. I am 28 and have blue blood without doubt, the best thing i did was go to that game. I have been going ever since home and away. Thank you to the boy in 1988 on a cold dreary October in beautiful Manchester for not turning up for your school trip, I owe you!

april 27 1996 vs aston villa won game 1-0. my first ever football game my dad took me and i was 7 years old. i remember my dad trying to learn me all the words to the songs for years and when i was at the game i just couldnt wait for the first song to start out. it was the best experiance ever eventually being there watching it live instead of on the tv, first half of the game went by and even though we hadnt scored i still had a smile on my face like a cheshire cat. it was so great seeing the players live. anyhow second half of the game started and all the stadium broke into an all mighty song of joy for manchester city. well we did get a score thankfully as thats what i really wanted to see. i jumped up of my seat and my dad lifted me up so i could see the all the players celebrating the goal. i looked about and all the fans faces were lit up with joy i had never seen so much love for something in facial expresions befor ethis minute. when i got home from the game i couldnt stop talking about it for weeks to everyone. infact i went on that much my dad told me if i didnt mention it for one week he would take me to another next week so i did and we certainly went again. im 21 now and still cant get enough ive been to so many games since then and this oppurtunity would mean alot.

i dont remember my first match clearly,i can recall my dad taking me to see city play southampton in the sixties, but as a teenager iwas lucky enough to watch the lows but mainly highs of city playing in the early seventies.i remember getting soaked on the north stand when we got beat 5-1 by west ham,but also my dad taking me to wembley to see city beat west brom in the league cup final,im 53 now and take my children to some games, but after all the highs and lows its still great to be a blue.
