I went to Maine Road for the first time, aged, 12 and was a Man Utd fan. After a pretty dismal 90 minutes of football, and a Mark Lillis penalty – I left converted as a City Fan, and immediatley started the transformation of my red coloured bedroom, into blue.
I saw the light, and the light was blue!

I cannot remember the exact date but I thing I was about 10 years old so that would make it 1958. I also think it was a couple of years after my father had taken me to into Albert Square to see City bring back the FA Cup and I remember Trautman with his hand on his neck in front of the Town Hall. Anyway a couple of years later a neighbour took me to my first game – in the Kippax against Birmingham City and it was abandoned after 40 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch! Our neighbour said I was bad luck and threatened not to take me again but he relented and took me agian many times.

2006 city vs porto, this was the first match that my grandson Michael Colin Francis Campbell,(mikey for short) went to. Since then he has become a fanatic city supporter going to as many home games as possible with his nanna & pops in the east stand, he love carlos tevez and he always tells people that mcfc is the best in the land and its his initials as well!!! come on city!!

One of my first matches was v Derby County. FRANNIES return to Miane Road. I’d been ill with tonsilitis and my dad took me. We were in the Platt Lane Stand and Franny was a hero of mine. The goal he scored was brilliant but it broke my heart

December 9th 2000. I was far too young to remember anything about it – it was 4 days before my 2nd birthday! Anyway, apparently we won 5-0, and I must have liked it, because I’ve been going ever since! CTID

unfortunatley not a good day for the bluews as we were beaten 3-0.I attended with my wife trying to turn her blue.we enjoyed the experience as we were behind the dugout and got a royal good-humured 2 finger salute from pearce during the game arising from the banter between him and the fans.
