My first game at Maine Road City v Newcastle boxing day 1977. Colin Bell returns from injury. can’t remember the first half apart from i was sat with my mate in the kippax on the tunnel next to the away fans. But what a second half when Colin Bell came on the place erupted, Newcastle never stood a chance it was amazing. We would have beaten any team in the world that day. ps This was also my future wife’s first game at Maine Road. her Dad took her and said at halftime she was a jinx and he wouldn’t bring her again he certainly changed his mind in the second half.

The first proper (premier league league) game i watched city play was against united at the COMS. It felt like home and like you belonged there because you shared the same feelings as everyone else wearing blue in the ground, ‘you just wanted city to beat united’. It was great as we did win but i remember there were 4 aditional minutes at the end and i was just sat there tapping my feet, just hoping they would hold on to the 1-0 lead and they did! It was brilliant, not only did we beat the reds we also went top of the table. I have been to every game since and i love it to bits !!!

28th December 1957 the Derby match. I was 10 and stood in the Platt Lane End at the front with my brother. Bert Trautman looked so huge. The noise sticks in my mind. We drew 2-2. Of course the events of Feb. 1958 could not have been anticipated.
My second “first game” was my first visit to Eastlands. I was unprepared for the sight of the stadium when you first see the pitch. I cried, it is by far the best stadium I have seen.

My 1st city game was West Ham at home in the FA Cup. It was really fun; however, City lost 1-2, but I saw a amazing goal from Georgi Kinkladze.

I’m French and I became a manchester city supporter in 2001. I had to wait 4 years to come for the first time of my life in Manchester. During the summer I had the opportunity to a Manchester City pre-season match against Olympiakos. I arrived early at the stadium and waited to see the players. I remember met David Sommeil and talk to him.
Even if it was only a friendly game, i can remember that the atmosphere was incredible, the peoples friendly. City Won 3-1 and Bradley Wright-Phillips score twice. I Sang Blue moon with the other fans who considerated me as one of them.
Since that day i’ve never been again at a city game but my heart stayed there. I still dream of going again to the city of manchester stadium but for the moment i still watch the games in Paris front of my TV.

My Dad, a Wolves fan, took me to see Wolves v City at Molineux I think he was trying to get me to follow the Wolves. City won 4-0. Dennis Tuart scored a fantastic overhead Goal. I have been a City Fan ever since that memorable day.

First game was City v Portsmouth, November 1965. We won 2-1 and i was hooked. My dad who was a red, wanted me to support that other lot, but after that first game, no chance. I was hooked for life.
