City 2 – Barcelona 1. What a game. There has been osme good games in my time as a city supporter, but this one was out of this world. i was 12, and this was the first game at Eastlands. I was born a true blue anyway, and had always loved city as long as i could remember. I’d been to a couple of games at Maine road (including the last game against Birmingham city) before, but compared to COMS… My best moment as a city fan. Love you city xxx

My first game was in 1978 (I think – maybe 77) My dad took me when i was 7 or 8 and we sat on the old wooden benches on the left in the main stand looking onto the pitch. It was chucking it down. the game sticks in my head for three reasons:
1. King Kenny Clements broke a leg.
2. My first city goal was Asa Hartford scoring what seemed like a 20 yard header.
3. Even though we got beat 2-1 I loved it.
If this game was in 77 then it was the year after Dennis T scored his scissor kick to win the league cup. I wonder if anyone else has been going so long without seeing them win a (proper) trophy?

My very 1st memories are, when I was a young lad in the late 60s sitting on the benches at the sideline(pitch side)with my dad, we sat there because he was disabled in WW2. It must have been hard for him having three sons, and only one growing up Blue.
Never mind their loss !!!
Cheers Dad

My first game was with my son James when city won 2-1 and Andy Cole scored the winner. It was a great day one to remember the stadium was brilliant.

My Grandad took me to see City away at Huddersfield (Leeds Rd) it was an amazing day out Glyn Pardoe made his debut I think, we won 2-0 and I was hooked from then, City till I die. I have since taken my son to Maine Road and Eastlands. Come on City

I would have been about ten years old and went to Maine Road with my older brother Steve, and my dad. I was on my dad’s shoulders because the crowds were massive. I just remember going up the steps and seeing the pitch for the first time. My expectations were met with fantastic joy. That first sighting will never leave me. Still going to the new ground as a ever optimistic True Blue

My first City match at Maine Road. I was 7, City V Liverpool april 1994. I went in full uniform….socks, shorts, shirt with name and number on! Sat in Platt Lane end, loved every minute, even with the man sat behind us covering my ears everytime he swore! WE won 2-1, Summerbee and gaudino
I was hooked as soon as I heard blue moon! once a blue always a blue. CITY TIL I DIE!

the frist match i went to watch city was in 1965. we played spurs. but i was to young to remeber much. the match that i truly became a blue was the 69 cup final. which we all know city won 1-0. being a blue is been up one day and down the next. lets hope the furture is blue.

A miserable 20th November in 1976 with City at home to WBA saw a young lad approaching his 10th birthday, and yet to be really bitten by the City bug, make his Maine Road debut. The blues had won the League Cup earlier in the year and created a childhood hero for me in Dennis Tueart after his spectacular overhead kick winner.
How fitting then that I should make my first visit to Maine Road with a family friend and witness Tueart run what seemed the length of the pitch before firing in another spectacular winner as City won 1-0.
There began a lifetime of following the club home and away yet still waiting for my first major trophy.

My first game was Maine Road, i think 1984ish v Spurs. I sat in J Block with my dad and the Kippax was opposite, i remember thinking it was huge and the noise was amazing. We won 2 -1 and i remember Paul Power scoring one for us. The other memory of that match was City having to go off after 5 minutes to change into their red & black away kit because the home kit clashed with Spurs kit.
