My first game was a three three draw with bournmouth. I was blown away by the atmosphere of main road & even though i wasn’t a fan then, i went home with a buzz for city & have been a fan since

One of my first games was the unforgettable 5-1 win against Man U. I was in the Kippax with my uncle and boyfriend, both lifelong blues. I remember after City scoring the third goal my uncle’s glasses were knocked off in the excitement. You wouldnt give them a chance would you but they were still intact on the floor!! God was smiling on us that day! We then scored the fourth and I remember all fans still panicking even though we had such a good lead. From this game, I caught the bug and am now a true blue for life. Cmon City!!

It was a wet and cold day and me and my mates had been planning it for months, we had all told our mums we were going out with each others parents for the day so they wouldn’t worry. ( or stop us going )
We got off the bus and were amazed at how many people were there and walking down the road towards the ground was like being in a sea of blue and white. As we got closer to the ground I could hear the crowd singing, it gave me the worst case of butterflies I’ve ever had, even more than the night I’d got my first kiss!
We entered the ground and climbed the steps into the kippax, I’ll never forget the noise!
I couldn’t believe I was finally there and part of it all, I didn’t see much of the game as We were a bit small and wanted to be right in the loudest part of the crowd but it didn’t matter, I was there and I was part of it.
Luckily I’d positioned myself so I had one of the metal barriers at my back, my mates however didn’t and then city scored, the crowd went mad, I remember seeing my mates all getting pushed right to the front and that was the last I saw of them until the next day.
One of the best days of my life and I’ve never looked back since.

My first game I’ll never forget. It was a cold Saturday in January.
Trevor Sinclair opened the scoring for City, Ronaldo got sent off and Robbie Fowler came on late to make it 3-1 and send the City support into heaven.
Having moved from Scotland that year I started following City and now never miss a match.

15th Sept 1976 I was aged 6 and this was the night I became a true blue. My late Dad had been going for years and was at wembley to see that great Dennis Tueart over head kick, easily the best goal scored at wembley, well after Paul Dickov.
I was bloodied at Maine road that night, the air was cool, the steam and smoke rose over that bright green pitch, and set the perfect scene, WOW!! look at those sky blue shirts I thought, my heart pounded, the hairs stood on my neck to the City theme (still does now!) I kicked every ball, and saw my hero wearing 11 (Tueart)skin the full back in black and white stripes over and over again,I loved every minute seeing CITY win 1 nil, I cried when they beat us away 2 nil! typical CITY ..thats when I knew CITY was in my blood, and there is nothing I could do about it.
I post this in memory of my late father Phil DEAR who passed away in 2001.
thanks DAD for that night!

My first City game was on a Wednesday night in the 1969/70 season against Athletico Bilbao. I was 8 years old and went with my Dad & his best mate, my Uncle Jimmy. I had just been made goalkeeper for my school team & couldn’t wiat to see Joe Corrigan in action. We were in the Platt Lane End behind the goal – it was floodlit & the pitch looked like a huge theatre. The atmosphere was great & I was passed down over people’s heads & shoulders to the front where I saw Corrigan make some great saves. We won 3-0 & I was passed safely back to my Dad & Uncle Jimmy. We got home in time to watch Match of the Day & I was amazed to see Joe Corrigan making the same saves again on my telly!!
