Hero Returns
Boxing day 1977 my dad asked if i wanted to go and watch City.Dreams do come true.Sat in the main stand with tears rolling down my cheeks as my hero Colin Bell runs out on to the pitch for the second half.what more can you ask for?

i think it was boxing day’78 my first game. city v newcastle, 0-0 at half time, then out runs my hero colin bell for the second half. (came back from a leg break by one of the scum up the road) after a ten min standing ovation we went on to win 4-0, been blue thru and thru since. thanks dad.

I went to that game, I remember Colin Bell getting a dstanding ovation for the entire second half even though Denis tuert scored 4 goals…it was magic!!!!!
