My first game was the coca cola cup fourth round against Newcastle, November 1994. I was gripped from the minute i walked into the umbro stand. The game was 1-1 and Rosler scored our equaliser. What I remember most was Keith Curle and Andy Cole having abit of an altercation and my memory maybe abit hazy but I am sure Cole kicked Curle up the bum…fond memories!! Once a blue always a blue!!

My first city match was great, walking up the stairs seeing the blue seats smelling the fresh cut grass, listening to the cazy cool music.
Just that one match made me say city till I die…. city won, the crowd went crazy when city scored. But overall it was just a great day out.Thats why I’ll always be a true blue!!! rhianne duncan, aged nine.

My first City game was Boxing Day 2002. I was only 2 and a half but was so excited about my first vist to Maine Road with all my family. We played Aston Villa, won 3-1 and I remember every time we scored the noise was so deafening it made me shake. A very special player Mark Viven-Foe scored 2 goals and Ali Benarbia scored the other. It was a great Christmas present and I now love the roar every time we score !

The date was satuarday 3rd of jaunuary 2009 a home game against Nottingham forest at home in the fa cup that was my first game it started of at 9 in da morning when i was at my house in scunthorpe i was excited and nervous because i was travelling to manchester on me own and it was the furthest i had been from home on my own. I caught a train to doncaster then one from doncaster to leeds and sor a man in a black stone island jacket with a man city shirt underneath so i prosumed he was going to the manchester city game so i asked him if he new were the next train to manchester from leeds is and he shown me i sat with him for the hole journey then when we got of at manchester piccadilly and headed towards to gregg’s fillled our selfs with a stake bake and then caught a taxi and headed of to city of manchester stadium when we arrived there i was just stood there with me phone taking pictures for like 5 minutes got me self a scarf and then got the ticket and headed in to the ground. On me way to doncaster sation earlier in the day i bought a fruit twist fanta drink a bottle of it and it was still un open at 3:00pm when the game kicked off after 24 minutes of the match my best player limped of the picth shaun wright-phillips and on came the unperforming vassell and then after 38 minutes bang !!!!! probably one of the best goals i have seen in me life nathan tyson with a vollley on the edge of the box 1-0 to nottingham forest then 4 minutes later stupid deffending from manchester city cost us a second goal has it hit the back of the net a women let out a scream and there we had it robert earnshaw 2-0 and a dissapointing first half at half time i started to get cold and the man i met at the train station went for a beer and i waited in my seat for him second half come and he never came back i was upset and felt lonely like i did when i left scunthorpe tarin station the second half begen me thinking after mark hughes would of had a word with them i was hoping for a jam packed second half full of excitement but then what could i say hamman thrown in throws it to no one at the edge of the manchester city box and gives garner a chance to run at the ball he does and he also finishes it in the 75th minute the nottingham forest fans was going barmy i was upset but i was also happy aty the experiance i got at the end of the day least i got to watch one of the best teams in the world play and that was manchester city the full time whistle went and the remaining man city fans unleashed a anormous BOOO !!!!! and then made there way to the turnstile’s ready to go home i stayed for about 2 minutes and watched the nottingham fans celebrate and took sme photo’s on i left the ground and took one more look at the stadium wondering will i be coming to this magnifecent ground again and to be honest this was not the first i had been to the manchester city stadium back in satuarday 7th of january 2006 manchester city played scunthorpe united and i was at that game i have a picture to show the ticket from that game i was in the scunthorpe united end with all the scunthorpe fans because scunthorpe is my home town and i always watch them but it has been me dream to come and see manchester city as well as scunthorpe they are my 2 teams what i love and the scunthorpe united game versus manchester city game at the city of manchester stadium on satuarday 7th january 2006 ended 3-1 to manchester city with robbie fowler man city’s hero because at half time the score was manchester city 0-1 scunthorpe united after a goal from andy keogh i went barmy but to this day onwards i say the first game i went to was the nottingham forest game at the age of 16 i have been to some amazing games west brom vs liverpool…grimsby vs scunthorpe… nottingham vs scunthorpe .. and in 2 10 days time i am going to the johnstone paint trophy final 2nd leg away at rotherham with scunthorpe having a 2-0 adventage could this mean my dreams of finally going to wembley can come true touch wood lets hope and at the end of this month leeds away for me

Consulting my Ray Goble City Compilation book the date had to be April 18, 1959. I can’t find Blackburn in the first division in the immediate preceding years.
My first ever visit to a professional football match was a spontaneous ride on a Charabanc with our local supporters club from the Wellington Inn on Stretford Road – Hulme. Jim lyons, my father, surprised me by suddenly announcing that there was room on the coach and I had to grab my jacket and away we were! Until that moment I hadn’t even been aware of any connections with the Wellington, because if my Dad had a ‘pub’then it had to be the ‘Grant’s Arms’ on Jackson Street.
Very few memories remain of the game, I vaguely remember that Blackburn had a number of legends playing for them, Douglas, Clayton spring to mind. What I can remember, vividly was the vast crowd compacted into Ewood Park, locals and Mancunians intermingled and the incessant unmalicious banter throughout the game. The frightening squashed feeling as we were channeled towards and through the claustrophobic exits after the game and the ride home again to Hulme at the back of the bus. I was sick of course. Oh and City got beat that day, some things never change!

My grandad took me to see City immediately after the war.I was 6years old.We would arrive at the ground before the turnstiles opened at 12 noon (kick off at 2pm).We arrived early to ensure a position on the wall at the corner of what later would be called scoreboard end and Kippax street.we took a stool for me to stand on(can you imagine that being allowed now?)
Grandad didnt have to pay for me-the man taking the money allowed me to be carried over the turnstile.Another time we went we didnt manage to get to the wall so I was carried over the heads of the crowd by the supporters and placed inside the wall and watched the game from there.
I cant remember much of the games but do remember the tall dark figure of Frank Swift. Remember Andy Black ,I am sure that City had player with only one arm (was that Smith?)
