My first City game was in the 1973/74 season, my Dad took me to Maine Road and we sat in the North stand, I was 5.
All I remember is Rodney Marsh beating 2 Everton defenders in front of the Kippax heading towards us, he then put his foot on the ball and turned round, took off in the opposite direction and set about beating them again! This massive bloke next to me stood up and roared “The other way Rodney!!” That was it, I was hooked for life.
