My first city game was when i was about 11, it was against fulham and we won 3-1! It was a huge surprise that morning as I knew nothing about it, until we arrived at the city of manchester stadium! I’m 13 now and am a season ticket holder, and I now class the COMS as my home – i’m always there! I’m also loving city more than ever!!! and Ched Evans haha! hopefully many more great matches!!!!

I couldnt believe I was comeing to watch my heroes for the very first time, I was 13 and it was the game were we beat arsenal 1-0 in 2006. I had only seen city play on t.v so I never realy new what it was like to be there and never new what the atmosphere would be like, as I walked closer to the stadium I was getting more and more exctied, I couldnt belive I was acctually going to see my heroes for the first time, I had just bourght my new kit and had joey barton on the back of my shirt. and I was very excited to see him in person with all the other players too. as I sat down in my seat all I could hear was other fans cheering on city and the lights glowing on them training on the field. then they kicked off, I felt so excited I didnt want it to end, I went home and told every how amazing it was, now i have a season ticket and never miss a game. thankyouu city xx

My first city match was away at Bradford Park Avenue. 1st leg in the 4rth round of the FA cup 1945/46 season. City won the game 3-1 i remember George Smith scored 2 goals for us. I was lifted up at the back of the stand behind the goals and sat on a roof girder to watch the game. Unfortunately City lost the home leg at Maine rd 8-2 to go out of the cup 9-5 on aggregate.

My first game was against Wigan on January 17th 2009. A long time follower from Australia, I finally got the chance to see the blues live when I had the chance to come and study at University in Lancaster. From the unbelievable stadium to the great noise from the crowd, and a match full of tension galore, after a glorious Zabaleta strike and a moment of absolute madness from our captain!
I was already a blue through and through, but now I can truly say that I am City till I die!! It will be the first of many, many glorious days watching city no doubt!

My first trip to Maine Road was to watch MCFC v Tottenham with my husband Matt (we won 2-1). I was totally dumstruck with the atmosphere and massive crowd on the day. We stood in the Kippax where Matt always took his place and back in those days there wasn’t many females in that section so I was totally outnumbered but everyone around was really friendly & respectful. Matt gave in to my nagging to attend a game even though I was 6 months pregnant! That was it I was hooked! It was a brilliant game and what made it extra special was that my brother, uncle, cousin and grandad were all there in the ground cheering on the Blues also. Our first son Liam (who we joke attended his 1st city game even before he was born!) also holds a season ticket like us together with his younger brother Conor. Maine Road was a very special place but we are enjoying our time at Eastlands too. “We love you CITY we do”

My first trip to Maine Road was for a match v. Nottingham Forest with Peter Shilton in goal for Forest. I was 16 years old and loved City. Three older friends offered to take me along to Maine Road and as Im from Northern Ireland we took the Larne / Stranraer ferry across and drove down all Friday night until we got to Manchester. We reached Manchester at about 4.30 a.m. on Saturday morning. I was awestruck. Even in the dark I just wandered around the ground and my heart was pumping. I couldnt believe I had finally made a trip to Maine Road. We slept for a few hours in the car outside the old souvenir shop and when it was light we sat until the souvenir shop opened and I was buying loads of merchandise. I was like a kid in a toy shop. I wanted everything they had. Decided there and then I would come back many times and make many purchases! Even started collecting City badges and have approx. 300 at the moment and still collect them. The match itself ended 0-0 but I’ll never forget the atmosphere or the feeling. From that day it was something I would repeat many, many times (sleeping outside the ground in a freezing car). I went to a couple more the following season when I got a job, bought a season ticket for the Kippax for two seasons after that for £15 and saved and spent every penny I could to go and watch City. Im 46 now and I still love City as much now as I did then and I still travel over several times a season to watch my beloved Blues. The feeling going to the ground never leaves you.

My first match was the Boxing Day clash 2008 against Hull City. I travelled all the way from Cornwall with my Mum, Dad and big brother Piran, we left home at 7.45am. It was certainly worth the long trip seeing all those goals although I did say to my Mum after 10mins that it was a bit boring as there hadn’t been any goals yet!! Once we scored 3 I started waving ‘cheerio’ to all the Hull fans that were leaving early! Hull made a substitution, I asked my Mum what they were doing, she said they’re changing players as he’s not very good; I then said, “I think they should substitute all of them then”. I also noticed the Hull manager pacing up and down, I told my Dad that’s because his team aren’t doing very well and because we’re doing well Mark Hughes is sat in his seat!!!
I wished for 2 things before we went; to meet Moonbeam and for Robinho to score, both came true. I kept waving and shouting to Robinho. Travelled back to Cornwall, got home at 11pm, what a day, what a great first game, now I can’t wait to go again in March to the Sunderland match.
