Worked and saved for about six months and booked a trip to see City at home against Everton on new year’s day. We won the match 2-1 through a Samaras brace. be booked our trip longer and stayed for Wednesday away in the cup. Because of the enthusiasm of the city fans through the cold and, at times, miserable play my mate that came with me is also a new life long blue too…

my grandad was a postie from hyde and a true blue all his life. my dad the same from stockport and they took me and my twin brother to see our first city game at maine road against spurs in 1967, as far as i can remember we won 1-0. i can remember the noise was intense but everyone seemed safe, the kids were passed forward to the front and at the end of the game they were passed back again.ive been a blue all my life (48yrs)have been up and down and high(wembley finals) and low (beaten at home when kinky crashed his car), but once a blue always a blue, city till i die.

I flew with my dad to watch City for the first time against Hull on Boxing Day. We won 5-1 and dad says it doesn’t always turn out like that and that I must be lucky for City.
We live in Dubai so it is a long way to come, but I can’t wait for my next game.
We have season tickets in the North Stand, but have only used them once so far.

Sharing a name with a famous City personality, it isn’t surprising that I became a Blues fan. But I waited a long time to see my first City game – a Christmas present to see the game against Hull City on Boxing Day. And what a game it proved to be! Even though I can see the lights of the KC Stadium from my house, I came across the Pennines with the Tiger’s fans and was delighted to see my team thrash the opposition 5-1…..

Around 1954 my dad took me to Maine Road, I was about 8 years old. I had my Autograph book with me. When the Sunderland coach turned up I got knocked over in the crush, but got picked up and taken into the City dressing room. Bert Trautman was there with his son in his arms and all the other players. I got all the autographs from both teams. What a day, there was no turning back, I was City!

6th Jan 1990, 8 years old, fa cup, hooked! Dad parked the car by the Denmark, some kid my age casually walks up and gets money for the parking, the buzz around the stadium is electrifying! I was about to get the best footballing lesson ever! Winning isn’t everything…Pride, passion, belief is what count.
The game was typical City and finished a goaless draw (we were beaten in the replay), i spent most of the game looking at the crowd and not the pitch anyway!
Millwall lived upto expectations and decided to start some trouble, fences were climbed and Dad hurried me away sharpish.
There was only one question on my mind…’When can we come again?’
Once a blue, always a blue……..pride in battle.
