Ive been a Man city fan for as long as i can remember, but i can’t really tell you why.
I’m a southerner with no northern family, City were just the team i chose to love, and i still do to the day.
Living on the south coast you might imagine its hard to get to Manchester to see the home games, but one weekend my self and 4 friends (all spurs fans) came up for the Sunday afternoon game.
The experiance for me was amazing, the singing fans and being front row, i loved being next to the pitch.
The game started and the feeling was electric, but things turned sour as Robbie Keane scored from what looked to be an impossible angle, and that how half time finished.
No need to say i got some abusive texts from my mates. But the second half was to change all that.
Ireland got one about 15 mins into the second half and Onuoha finished it off. 2-1 City!!
I have to say the trip home wasnt as great as the match, as i had to sit on a train full of spurs fans, and me still with my City top and match scarf still being worn proudly.
A day i will never ever ever forget.
