My first City game was V Charlton on the 12th February 2006.
I was 7-years of age.
This game has extra special memories for me because I was chosen to take a pre match penalty against Moonchester…
Although we live in Kent my dad and I are both City fans. For this game we managed to get tickets through Charlton but decided to make our way up to ensure we got there early to have a good look around the ground. Once we had finished looking around we decided to find our seats. Whilst sitting there a lady from City came over and asked me I would like to take a pre match penalty. This was a brilliant experience. Another reason for it being so cool and a special memory is that I had to take the penalty in a plastic cape as the weather was terrible… I still scored against Moonchester though. Along with City winning 3 -2, this made the 5-hour journey home bearable!!
Unfortunately as we had not expected this extra special thing my dad didn’t have his camera
