this is my earliest memory of a football match – i knew it was a crucial game because my dad told me before we went, all the happiness and sadness was wierd because i had never seen such emotion before. but all the cheers around the ground when uwe rosler scored his penalty, i got on the seat and caught my shoe in the chair and fell. everything was happy until after the game hearing that even though we had drawn against them it was not good enough. and then the sadness that came with it, i was hooked for life and always will be
