Within days of being born in April 2000 my son Thomas was enrolled into the Junior Blues and I’d bought him his first City kit! We’d returned to the Premier League for the first time since 1996 and his first game was a League Cup second round first leg against Gillingham at Maine Road. The result was 1-1! It was freezing but it didn’t matter because in addition to being well wrapped up I’d put him inside my coat! He attended many games after that including the memorable last game at Maine Road and first ever game at the City of Manchester stadium – I’m proud of that and hopefully in years to come so will he.
