My first ever City game a league cup final v West Brom march 1970. Oh How we would love that team to turn out for us now. I was 10 years old, went with mum & dad. We left Manchester at 7pm on the friday not arriving in London till 7.am the following morning, they didn’t have motorways then. Don’t remember much about the game as I didn’t see it, I was knee high to a grasshopper, but I remember snow on the pitch, if you can call it a pitch that is, they had the horse of the year show at Wembley 3 days before & the pitch resembled a plough field. Well I just remember the wonderful atmosphere at the old Wembley, getting my City rossette on Wembley way, and City winning 2-1 after going 1-0 down in the match, happy days!
