After my sister and i had been playing up my dad barred us from going to the Saturday morning kids pictures at the ABC in Northenden.
My mate Noel Hurley came to our house and talked my dad into letting me go to Maine Road with him.As my dad was feeling guilty, he agreed.
Like others i remember going down the tunnel in the Kippax and having my breath taken away by the pitch, the size of the stadium etcetra.
It was November 23rd 1968 and i was eleven years old.We won 5-1 and i was hooked for life.
Happy innocent days with a swashbuckling team and Mercer and Allison at the helm.Wonderful!
