My first ever City game was away at Stoke. I was on the way to a town & country festival at Kenilworth for August bank Holiday weekend and City were away at Stoke on the Saturday so I thought I might as well nip in on the way down the M6. Things did not start well as my car was vandalised the night before so I had to get to the scrappers 1st thing to get a wing mirror and rear light cluster. Whilst climbing through the scrapped cars I got covered in dog muck so I had to drive back home in my boxers. I fixed the car, packed up, flew down the M6 and got there 10 mins after kick off. The ground was packed and the city faithful were not happy with Alan Ball as we got beat 2-1, and subsequently he got the sack come bank holiday morning. Also making his debut for City that day was a little striker called Paul Dickov following a 1m move from Arsenal and who’d have thought he’d have been so instrumental in City’s history.

Good to see you started off having a horrible experience and it continues.
Why do we go back for more – do you have to be a certain character??
Blue forever!!
