F.A.Cup versus Sunderland. My Dad and Uncle took me to the game and I will always remember the crowd outside the Kippax waiting to get in. City with Bell, Lee, March in the team were clear favourites not only to win the game but the cup itself having beaten Liverpool in the previous round. Sunderland clear underdogs had future City legends Tueart and Watson in their team. The game finished 2-2, with City coming back from 2-1 down. The game and the atmosphere was fantastic and I could not wait for the next game. The result did not matter and of course City would win the reply! Of course that was not to be either and as we know Sunderland went on to win the F.A. Cup with another upset against Leeds United.
