My first City game was the opening day of the 1998/99 season against Blackpool. I was 7 years old and using my brand new season ticket for the very first time in my life, very excited that I was actually going to see the team I had followed all of my life. It was Nicky Weaver’s debut for the Blues, and he put on a characteristic show of good stops to prevent Blackpool scoring. City eventually went on to win 3-0 and the pure excitemnet of the day, the stadium, the players, the rush of scoring a goal, hooked me to Manchester City Football Club for life.
